#ThrowbackThursday:
As part of its maternal and child health program, CFI and PATH Foundation Philippines (PFPI) along with selected LGUs hosted and sponsored a community project titled “Community Based Distributors (CBD) and Community Assembly” in Lamion, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on December 29, 2005.
This project assisted the target communities to implement family planning intervention. Specifically, the intervention included health education campaigns and provision of contraceptives.
Studies have shown that CBD services are proven to be cost-effective as compared to clinic-based therapies and enhances accessibility of maternal health-related services.
