Culion Foundation, Inc. has initiated a Management Training Series to equip current supervisors and managers with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to excel in their roles. This series aims to cultivate a culture of leadership, excellence, innovation, and collaboration to drive meaningful impact and sustainable growth.

In the first session of this Management Training Series, Ms. Rory Tolentino, our resource speaker and Trustee of CFI, discussed the core responsibilities and attributes of effective leaders within the context of CFI’s mission and vision.

She emphasized three qualities of a good leader, namely, a leader should be passionate about the work/mission, being able to develop teamwork, and have good communication skills. Furthermore, she highlighted several roles of a good leader such as motivating supervisees, fostering potential, inspiring trust, taking on and giving up responsibilities, thinking strategically, setting goals and expectations for everyone, giving and receiving feedback, building teams, fostering positivity, and being authentic or practicing self-awareness.
