More than 300 volunteers and eco-warriors planted 900 mangrove saplings during the CFI Mangrove Tree Planting activity in Barangay Binudac Mangrove Rehabilitation Site in Culion, Palawan, last May 17, 2023.
Implemented under the CFI-GCash GForest Mangrove Project, this initiative aims to raise environmental awareness among local communities and other stakeholders in Culion to help recover and maintain ecological balance and combat effects of climate change.
The activity was led by the Culion Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO), in celebration of the Tirimes-Times Festival 2023.
