Look: Ms. Dolina Tabla, Head of our Community Development Program, attended the joint council meeting held at the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Conference Hall last March 19, 2024. Organized by the Office of the Municipal Mayor, Culion, Palawan, the session focused on the presentation of the Local Health Board (LHB) on the various health-related activities conducted for the period January – February 2024 including the adoption of the additional list of volunteers for the municipality of Culion. Furthermore, the Mental Health Board (MHB) was institutionalized during the session as part of the mandate of the LGU as well as in response to Republic Act No.11036 otherwise known as the Mental Health Act. An Executive Order No. 08 Series of 2024 was issued by the local executive last Feb.14, 2024 creating MHB and Executive Committee to identify duties, functions and purposes.
As an active member of the various development councils of the municipality, CFI is able to influence and advocate for policies and ordinances that uplift the lives of Culion community. The meeting was participated by the members of the Local Health Board (LHB), the Mental Health Board (MHB), RPRH Municipal Implementing Team, and the Municipal Nutrition Council.
