The TB in the Workplace Project, formally known as “Installation of TB Programs in Communities/Groups”, aims to implement TB programs in organized groups and workplaces across the National Capital Region, Region III, and Region IV-A. Specifically, it aims to engage at least 20 “cluster groups” of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and workers in informal sectors such as tricycle drivers and market vendors through capacity building on the creation of TB policies, social and behavior change communication (SBCC) plans, and information, education, and communication (IEC) materials. Furthermore, it aims to strengthen the local referral system throughout the TB cascade of care. Throughout its implementation, the team is documenting key process indicators, insights, and recommendations, with the potential for adoption, replication, and scale-up to other regions and similar settings in the future.
The project is contracted by the Philippine Business for Social Progress under Advancing Client-Centered Care and Expanding Sustainable Services for TB (ACCESS TB) through funding from The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
