This USAID-funded project primarily aimed to promote biodiversity through sustainable fisheries. Specifically, CFI facilitated the engagement of the communities in the Municipalities of Culion and Coron to improve fishery management and compliance with regulatory policies so as to reduce the threats to marine biodiversity. The project also aimed to train Eco-warriors and community leaders to empower locals in the protection of the environment.
